This policy explains how Omkan Limited (“Omkan”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses and protects your personal information when you use the omkan.shop website and the Omkan apps (the “Service”). Omkan Limited is the data controller.

1. Information we collect

• Account details: your name, email address, phone number and password.
• Delivery details: the addresses you save for delivery and billing.
• Orders and activity: what you buy, your cart and wishlist, order history, reviews, refund requests and messages you send to sellers or to us, including any text you give for personalised items.
• Photos and files you choose to upload, such as a profile picture or photos for a refund request.
• Payments: our payment providers confirm your payment to us. We do not store full card numbers.
• Sign in with Google: if you use it, we receive your name, email address and Google account ID.
• Technical information: your IP address, browser or app version and logs we need to keep the Service secure, and a notification token so we can send order updates to your phone.

2. How we use it

• To create and manage your account.
• To take payment and pass your order to the seller so they can make and deliver it.
• To handle returns, refunds, complaints and disputes.
• To send you order updates and service messages.
• To send you news and offers, only if you agree. You can stop them at any time.
• To keep the Service secure and prevent fraud.
• To meet our legal obligations, such as tax and accounting rules.

3. Legal basis (UK GDPR)

We use your information because it is needed for our contract with you (for example, to deliver your order), because of our legitimate interest in running a secure and reliable marketplace, because the law requires it, or because you have given your consent (for example, for marketing). You can withdraw consent at any time.

4. Who we share it with

• Sellers: the seller of each item you buy receives your name, delivery address, phone number and order details, only so they can make and deliver your order and handle returns.
• Payment providers (such as Stripe and PayPal) to take payments and prevent fraud.
• Delivery companies chosen by the seller.
• Service providers who host our website and send emails and notifications for us (including Hostinger and Google Firebase).
• Authorities, when the law requires it.

We do not sell your personal information.

5. Sending information outside the UK

Some sellers are based outside the UK. When you buy from them, we send them the details they need to deliver your order. This transfer is necessary to carry out your order. Some of our service providers may also process information outside the UK; where they do, we use the safeguards required by UK law, such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement.

6. Cookies and your currency

We use only the cookies needed to run the website: to keep you signed in, remember your cart and remember your language and currency. We choose the currency we first show you from the time zone set on your device; this happens in your browser and the result is kept only on your device. We do not use advertising or analytics cookies. If we start to, we will ask for your consent first.

7. How long we keep it

We keep your account information while your account is open. We keep order and invoice records for 6 years, as tax law requires. Other information is deleted or anonymised when we no longer need it. You can delete your account at any time; see how to delete your account.

8. Your rights

You have the right to see the information we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to how we use it, to receive a copy in a portable format, and to withdraw your consent. Email info@omkan.shop to use these rights. If you are unhappy with how we handle your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.

9. Children

The Service is not for children under 13, and you must be 18 or over to buy.

10. Security

We protect your information with secure connections (HTTPS), access controls and trusted providers. No online service is completely secure, so please use a strong password and keep it private.

We may update this policy. The date at the top shows the latest version.
